First time here and I love all of the dishes we had. I had shrimp and grits with a request of fried eggs on top and it was amazing the spices were perfect the grits were made very well. The employees were fantastic with customer service and I would absolutely come back.
What a cute place in Trenton. I really enjoyed myself. I took off 1 star for food because on the menu it stated that the lox toast had everything but the bagel seasoning but mine had plain poppy seeds. Overall it was good. The pancake was yummy, but the iced tea was amazing. Will definitely be back!
First let me start by saying how nice the restaurant is inside; nicely decorated with plenty of seating. My King and I dined in on a Saturday morning they had live music which was lovely. The food was amazing!!! More than I expected it to be I had the shrimp and grits, my King had the fish and grits. But what was so unique was that they served the food very hot in an actual skill lit! The grits were cheesy and butter cooked just right with Cajun shrimp which were seasoned to perfection. The service was top notch and the owner was amazingly friendly and not afraid to talk too people at all. But the best part of the meal is that they serve mimosa's with your meal which are free and you get three servings. All in all please patronize this amazing business I can't say enough good about this great establishment; but go see for yourself...
Got fish and grits with fried eggs. Food was really good, the staff are very friendly and the old school r&b jam in the background was a nice vibe. Gotta bring wifey here to try the shrimp and grits next time. Highly recommended!
I had a great time per usual. Angelis was amazing and the food was delicious! Service very tea, quick and to the point. BYOB ofc I brought my don and champagne for our mimosas with no cover charge. Great time and perfect service, join them for brunch! Reallll teaaa everytime. ANGELIS WAS AMAZING!!!!
I totally forgot to take a before photo but this after one should say it all! We had the traditional fried chicken & waffles and the new red velvet chicken & waffles with grilled chicken -we DEVOURED it!! Delicious, fresh, fast and above all else extremely friendly and inviting! If you are in the Trenton area SKIL-LIT Cafe is a MUST! The close at 3pm so make sure you get there early enough to order and eat.
Skill Lit was a great experience! The food was really good, and the staff went above and beyond to make sure I was happy—they even made me a cappuccino, even though it wasn’t on the menu. Everyone was super friendly, the music was great, and the place has a fun, positive vibe. Definitely a spot I’d come back to!
AMAZING!!!! My surf and turf was perfect. One of the BEST RESTAURANTS IN THE COUNTRY!!!!!! I travel all over the U.S. and this is definitely in my top 10. My aunt got Pancakes and sausage, she loved it! You won’t be disappointed!!!
Had a delicious meal here. The server was very nice and suggested the fried fish and grits which was much better than I expected! Especially with the hot sauce. The potatoes were also really well done and flavorful. I can see why this place is so highly regarded.
My husband and have been looking for a place to call home since we moved into NJ and I believe we have found it. The food is sooooo good. Cooked With love and seasoning. Tasted just like my momma cooking. The service is sooo amazing. They were kind welcoming and attentive and it is black owned 🥰. If anyone is looking for a nice comfy place to eat good food. This is your place oh and let’s not forget the prices are affordable. Finally a place that’s not trying to rob you. May God bless this place forever❤️
